Peptalk, by and with Björn Carlberg, is a comedy show featuring puppets, where the audience can influence the storyline using their mobile phones. The hapless patriarch Tord invites you to an inspirational evening filled with stand-up, lectures, roleplay, and bingo, interspersed with mediocre musical numbers.
After a hit run at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern in Stockholm and sold-out shows across the country in 2025, the Sweden tour of Peptalk is now extended with additional performances! The puppet comedy show has been seen by over 13,000 people in Stockholm and has been described as a “linguistically playful production” (SvD) and an “interactive extravaganza” (DN). DN also writes that Björn Carlberg, who wrote and performs the show, “is as beloved a puppeteer as one can be.” On January 17, Björn and the puppets return to Stockholm, this time at Södra Teatern!
“I’ve always wanted to create more stand-up-based comedy, and with Peptalk I get the chance to explore that vein with funny lines and anecdotes from a variety of characters. With the interactive element added, I can engage in dialogue with the audience and even conduct real-time ‘SIFO-style’ surveys that I have to respond to. It’s a really fun way to work, and it’s exciting that more people around the country will get to see the show,” says Björn Carlberg.
Björn Carlberg is responsible for the script and direction, and performs alone on stage with all the puppets. He has previously created the hit shows Dockhumor på Scala and Dockhumor 2 with colleague Petter Lennstrand, the TV series Kjell with Daniel Eskils, and Operation Klotty on SVT.
