Colin Edwin & John Wesley’s VOYAGE 35

Efter en bejublad konsert med Porcupine Tree på Royal Albert Hall i London 2010 skildes vägarna för PT-medgrundaren och basisten Colin Edwin och gitarristen John Wesley, men ett och ett halvt decennium senare lockade det gamla materialet för mycket och de skapade VOYAGE 35 för att på nytt turnera med sina favoritlåtar från Porcupine Trees tidiga karriär (1992-2000).

Tvåtimmarskonserten bjuder på Porcupine Tree’s orginalljusshow från Fruit Salad Lights och låtar som till stor del inte spelats live sedan livealbumet Coma Divine (1997), med många fan-favoriter som Radioactive toy, Up the downstair, Signify och Moonloop. Bandet lovar att ta med besökarna på samma psykedeliska/progressiva space rock-äventyr som dåtidens Porcupine Tree, men också att det inte bara är en nostalgishow. Voyage 35-medlemmarna bidrar även med sin egna kreativa musikaliska identitet till materialet.

Med sig på scen har de även Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari (även i Colins O.R.k) på keyboard och trummisen Alessandro Vagnoni som beskrivs som länken mellan PT-trummisarna Chris Maitland och Gavin Harrison.

Colin Edwin: “I know there is a lot of love out there for the early Porcupine Tree material, and many people have expressed a desire to hear it again. Most of this music kind of fell by the wayside as the band moved on, and it feels right to revisit things again with a fresh approach and new musical talent” 

John Wesley: “I realized deep inside that I really missed playing that music so an opportunity to go out with Colin and an amazing set of musicians to perform music I deeply cared about was not something I was going to miss. Bringing that music to fans that care about it as I do will be a mutual pleasure”

Practical Information

We allow bags up to A4 size (max 30 × 20 × 30 cm). Larger bags can be checked in at the Södra Teatern cloakroom. Own food and drinks are not allowed.

Södra Teatern is located at Mosebacke torg 1–3. With limited parking nearby, we recommend using public transport. The closest option is the subway to Slussen, exit Götgatan. From there, walk up Hökens gata to Mosebacke torg.
