Monica Zetterlund is one of Sweden’s greatest and most beloved artists of all time. Her music, humor, and unmistakable expression have forever secured her place in the Swedish cultural soul.

In Simple, Beautiful, Tender – A Tribute to Monica Z, Frida Öhrn, together with Carl Bagge and his trio, honors Monica’s life, artistry, and timeless songbook. The audience is invited on a warm, swinging musical journey through Monica’s world – from her collaborations with Hasse & Tage, Beppe Wolgers, and Povel Ramel, to the magical encounters with Bill Evans that took her all the way to the jazz clubs of New York.

Two evenings filled with humor, presence, and musical brilliance await, featuring original arrangements unearthed from the archives. Arrangements written by Lasse Bagge, who played with Monica for many years, now brought back to life through the hands of his son, Carl Bagge.

Simple, Beautiful, Tender is a loving tribute to an icon – and a reminder of just how timeless Monica Zetterlund’s voice and music truly are.

Practical information

We allow bags up to A4 size (max 30 × 20 × 30 cm). Larger bags can be checked in at the Södra Teatern cloakroom, which is open throughout the event. We recommend arriving early to make entry smoother. Outside food and drinks are not allowed. Cloakroom available!

Södra Teatern is located at Mosebacke torg 1–3. With limited parking nearby, we recommend using public transport. The closest option is the subway to Slussen, exit Götgatan. From there, walk up Hökens gata to Mosebacke torg.
