Jonathan Johansson has, through his eight albums, become one of Sweden’s most respected artists and lyricists. After an intensive touring year in 2025, 2026 will feature only a handful of exclusive performances, with the year’s only Stockholm show taking place at Mosebacketerrassen on August 25.
Over the past 15 years, Jonathan Johansson has emerged as one of Sweden’s most appreciated and respected artists. His debut album En hand i himlen from 2009 was nominated for both P3 Guld and a Grammis, marking the beginning of a long and successful career. Since then, Jonathan has released eight studio albums, each new project opening up new dimensions of his unique and intense artistic expression—bigger, deeper, brighter, darker, and more personal than before.
Following the critically acclaimed Scirocco (2020), which many consider his most complex and daring work to date, came Om Vi Får Leva (2022). The album earned him a Grammis for Lyricist of the Year and was followed by a sold-out solo tour in spring 2023. That autumn, Jonathan appeared on Så mycket bättre, where he moved audiences with his interpretations of Swedish classics such as Högt över havet and Lilla fågel blå. In spring 2024, he made a strong return to the live stage with a tour that took him to several cities across Sweden.
With last year’s album Vita Skelett & Vita Pärlor, Jonathan Johansson was praised for his sharp thematic focus and poetic intensity—a work where the warmth of love meets the shadows of war. The album was followed by a major tour, performances at, among others, Way Out West, and four sold-out concerts together with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Stockholm.
