After years of massive stages, pyrotechnics, and concerts designed to feel larger than life itself, Newkid now wants to get closer to his audience. On September 25 and 26, he takes over Södra Teatern in Stockholm with “Akust-ish” — two evenings where the songs, the stories, and the emotions take center stage.

– “The setting isn’t completely acoustic, but ish,” Newkid says about the concept.

And perhaps that’s exactly where the essence lies. A more stripped-back format, without losing the energy or grandeur of the music. A space where the songs can breathe in a new way, bringing the audience closer to both the music and the person behind it.

With more than 15 years of music behind him, Newkid invites the audience into a personal and intimate experience where old favorite songs are given new life. From early influences of hip hop and R&B to the major pop tracks that have been streamed over half a billion times, the music is now presented up close — vulnerable, honest, and raw.

At the same time, Newkid is set to release his new EP Powerballader tomorrow, continuing his exploration of big emotions, strong melodies, and stories about love, doubt, and finding your way home.

Practical Information

We allow bags up to A4 size (max 30 × 20 × 30 cm). Larger bags can be checked in at the Södra Teatern cloakroom, which is open throughout the event. We recommend arriving early to make entry smoother. Own food and drinks are not allowed. Cloakroom available!

Södra Teatern is located at Mosebacke torg 1–3. With limited parking nearby, we recommend using public transport. The closest option is the subway to Slussen, exit Götgatan. From there, walk up Hökens gata to Mosebacke torg.
